We actively monitor local car, pedestrian, and cycling traffic, as well as parking patterns throughout the neighbourhood. The NRRA maintains regular communication with Toronto’s Transportation Services, the Councillor’s office, and the Toronto Police Service to address matters related to traffic flow, signage, and potentially hazardous road conditions. When concerns arise, we make formal recommendations to help the City address them.
We also keep residents informed about ongoing and upcoming infrastructure projects that may impact the neighbourhood. Recent examples include the resurfacing of Douglas Drive near Chorley Park and Edgewood Crescent, as well as repair work on the Governors Bridge, which has significantly affected local traffic patterns. We continue to receive updates from City staff and share information with residents through newsletters and community emails to help minimize disruptions and improve residents’ awareness.
In addition, we provide guidance to residents interested in initiating changes to street signage or implementing traffic-calming measures on their blocks.
The NRRA collaborates with four neighbouring residents’ associations and regularly meets with our City Councillor, Dianne Saxe, to discuss transportation and safety issues affecting our wider community.
